A very "wild" experience
My wife and I, and four friends just spent three nights at Fox's Katavi Wildlife Camp. It was great. The camp is tucked in along the side of a great plain, in which a river runs through. Each room and the main dining / congregating area looks out on the plain, which is constantly full of different wildlife. The entire area is just booming with game. The area is massive so you can cover quite a lot of new ground on the game drives. The guides were great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The camp manager was great, always made sure we were happy and taken care of. The food quality was excellent, and plentiful. The fact that these camps are so open aired places make it a great get away during these times. You are always able to social distance at these camps. Each banda is very private and quite far from each other, and the main areas are large and accommodating to social distancing. The people in the camps were willing to take any measure you'd like them to, in order for you to feel comfortable. We really enjoyed our bandas. They were very clean and comfortable. It made you feel like you were camping but protected from the wilderness. Absolutely fantastic.

Can’t recommend it highly enough - next stop was Ruaha River Lodge which maintained the standards!

Staff were very good and helpful, and knowledgeable when on the safari
The jeeps were the best and very comfortable. The experience was out of this world.

The entire stay here at Rufiji River Camp was impeccable, stellar, standout awesome, from the meeting we were given at the local bush airstrip when the two Cessna Caravan aircraft we had flown there in landed, to our farewell take-off as we departed for Ruaha River Lodge another of Foxes safari lodges approx 1hr: 40min flight west of Rufiji.
